Meet Ieshia Gray

Candidate for Cook County Circuit Court Judge

Ieshia Gray lives in the Chicago south suburb of Homewood with her husband and children. She is the product of a working-class family and the first in her family to attend a four-year college. She is a former Chicago resident of the Morgan Park, Chatham, South Shore, and Hyde Park neighborhoods. Her husband, born and raised in Chicago, is a Cook County Sheriff’s Police Officer. Together, with their children, they attend Park Manor Christian Church on the south-side of Chicago, where Ieshia is very active.

She has sung in the choir, acted as the chair of the Trustee Board, and taught as a part of the Sunday Teen Ministry. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She has volunteered with the Chesterfield Community Council, the 34th ward, the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago, the Salem Baptist Vision to Action clinic, and the Chicago Legal Advocacy for Incarcerated Mothers. Ieshia Gray is committed to her family, church and community.

Ieshia Gray has been a licensed attorney for 15 years. She began her career as a criminal defense attorney working in the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. She has compassion for the poor, the voiceless, and those left behind. Ieshia Gray is an experienced attorney. She has litigated complex criminal matters and litigated hundreds of cases in front of juries and judges. She has an experienced track record and understands the impact the law has on people, their families, and their communities.
